Semen is the milky substance that carries sperm into a woman to make her pregnant. A vasectomy is a very effective method for preventing pregnancy (99.9%). A vasectomy should be considered a permanent way to prevent pregnancy.
Don't let the cost of a vasectomy stop you. The Rhode Island Department of Health pays for vasectomies for men who do not have insurance or their health insurance does not cover a vasectomy.
Adult men (21 years or older) who do not have insurance coverage for vasectomies, and who are Rhode Island residents.
