KIDSNET about Electronic Data Exchange

The Rhode Island Department of Health, in partnership with the Rhode Island Quality Institute, has developed a community wide implementation guide for electronic immunization transactions. As part of Rhode Island’s efforts to promote health information technology and interoperable health information exchange, this guide will first be utilized by KIDSNET, the state’s integrated child registry for preventive services. KIDSNET is a future data-sharing partner with Rhode Island’s statewide health information exchange.

An HL7 Interface grant is available to providers and/or practices that work with KIDSNET to establish or improve HL7 immunization interfaces between KIDSNET and electronic health record systems. (more)
