Medical Marijuana Compassion Centers

Compassion Centers are places for patients that have qualifying conditions to obtain medical marijuana as allowed by Rhode Island law. Three compassion centers, Thomas C. Slater, Summit and Greenleaf were initially approved by the Department but a moratorium was placed on the operation of these centers before any of them began offering services so that legal issues could be resolved. Now that the moratorium has been lifted these applicants have been asked to supply any proposed changes to their applications prior to the Department issuing a final registration certificate. The Department of Health will notify the public of the proposed changes as they are submitted and allow a two week comment period on those changes as part of this permit review phase.

Proposed Application for Public Comment

Greenleaf Compassion Center submitted proposed changes. Public comments are welcome until February 6, 2013.
