Finding Oral Health Services
The following information may assist you in locating private practice oral health providers and community-based sites that provide dental services, including to those who are eligible for RIte Care, RIte Smiles, and/or Medical Assistance. Please note: A provider or site on the following lists may not be accepting new Medical Assistance clients at the time of your call, may not provide all types of dental care, may only provide dental care to their medical patients, or may place other limits on the number of patients they treat.
Community Health Centers with Dental Clinics
- Burrillville: WellOne
- Cranston: Comprehensive Community Action Program
- Hope Valley: Wood River Health Services
- New Shoreham: Block Island Health Services, 6 Payne Rd., 401-466-2974
- Newport: East Bay Community Action Program
- North Kingstown: WellOne
- Pawtucket: Blackstone Valley Community Health Care (medical patients only; new patients welcome)
- Providence:
- Crossroads Rhode Island at Providence Community Health Center (adults only)
- Providence Community Health Centers (children and pregnant patients only)
- South Kingstown: Thundermist Health Center of South County
- Warwick: Comprehensive Community Action Program

Hospital Dental Clinics

- Samuels Dental Center at Rhode Island Hospital (Serves adults who have special healthcare needs and/or developmental disabilities. There may be a waiting list for appointments.)
- Pediatric Dental Center at St. Joseph Hospital
- Pawtucket: Pediatric Dental Center at Fatima Health Center
Dental Hygiene Clinics
- Lincoln: Community College of Rhode Island
Working under professional supervision, dental hygiene students provide cleanings, exams, dental sealants, and x-ray services for a fee of $10/service. Services are available by appointment from September to May only and appointments for children are limited. Services that only a dentist can perform (such as fillings, dentures, extractions) are not available at this facility.
