Child Care Support Network

Child Care Support Network

OUR MISSION
Our goal is to enhance the availability of quality child care for all children, including children with special health care needs. To reach this goal, we build partnerships with child care professionals, providing individual and peer support and facilitating connections with community resources.

HOW CAN THE CHILD CARE SUPPORT NETWORK HELP ME?
We recognize that as a child care professional you face a variety of challenges every day. CCSN has a number of programs that will assist you in areas you may find challenging. We have programs that offer services to support Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation, Developmental Screening (Watch Me Grow RI), Infant & Toddler On-Site Technical Assistance, and Health Consultation. We work with you to understand your needs and goals. Together we design a plan to meet your needs and help you meet the needs of the families in your care.

POPULATION ELIGIBLE FOR SERVICES
For many of our services the only requirement is that programs have a license by the Department of Children, Youth & Families (DCYF).

“They are very resourceful-lending books, helping us to create our own resources, giving us ideas for getting our parents more involved. Now we have a group of parents that meets once a month.”
Director, Child Care Center

WHAT IS THE COST OF CHILD CARE SUPPORT NETWORK SERVICES?
There is no cost for many of the services provided by the Child Care Support Network. Each program is open to all licensed child care professionals working in family child care homes and center-based programs.

HOW DO I GET INVOLVED WITH THE CHILD CARE SUPPORT NETWORK?
If you are interested in getting help from the Child Care Support Network, call the Family Health Information Line at 1-800-942-7434. The Information Specialist will take your name, address, and telephone number, determine which service you are interested in obtaining, answer any questions you may have, and forward your information to the Child Care Support Network Manager. The Manager will call to enroll you in the program. Once you are enrolled, someone from the Child Care Support Network team will be assigned to work with you to determine your needs and to coordinate the services outlined in your plan.

“The Child Care Support Network helped me with discipline issues. They brought me information to help deal with children's separation anxiety… they also worked with my assistant to help her accomplish her professional goals.”
Director, Family Child Care Home
