Blood borne infections are commonly spread by substance abusers sharing of intravenous needles or syringes. Diseases that are spread this way include: HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis B, and C.
Injecting drug users transfer viruses by sharing needles or drug preparation equipment, contaminated with infected blood, even if you only experimented once or tried injecting drugs in the past.
If you shoot drugs, stop and get into a treatment program. If you can't stop, never reuse or share syringes, water, or drug works (more).
