Web Data Query System
The Web Data Query System provides online query access to several key public health data sets for Rhode Island.
Available Modules :
Behavior Risk Factor Surveillance System
(1998-2007)
Measures a number of health risk behaviors among RI adults 18 years and older, including alcohol consumption, diabetes, healthcare access, health status, mammograms, nutrition, pap smears, and weight control. (more)
Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS)
(2001, 2003, 2005 and 2007)
A survey of students in grades 9-12 that measures health risk behaviors which contribute to injuries; tobacco, alcohol and other drug use; unintended pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases (STDs); unhealthy dietary behaviors; and physical inactivity. (more)
Death Certificates (2004, 2005, 2006, 2007)
Death data are collected from funeral directors who are responsible for obtaining the cause of death from physicians. The definition of a case or record in the Death Records is a person who died in RI or a RI resident who has died out-of-state. Preliminary data on deaths occurring in RI are available within one year after the end of the calendar year. Final data, including out-of-state deaths of RI residents, are available 2 years after the end of the calendar year.

The Office on Women's Health
The system provides county-level data for all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and US territories and possessions. Data are available by gender, race and ethnicity and, to the extent possible, age.
