Outdoor Public Smoking Opinion Data
- Purpose: To measure public support for making outdoor areas 100% smokefree
- Key Information: Public opinion data from Rhode Island residents
- Collection Period: These data were collected between August and November, 2012
Rhode Island Numbers
More than 900 Rhode Island residents from 30 communities, representing both smokers and non-smokers, were asked to rate how supportive they would be if different outdoor areas were designated smoke free. Overall, respondents, including those who smoke, favored such bans.
