Beach Monitoring Data
- Purpose: To determine whether the water at the state's licensed beach facilities is safe for swimming.
- Key Information: The concentration of Enterocci bacteria in water samples as measured in cfu/100ml (colony forming units per 100 milliliters) and the past years beach closures based on the finding of more than 104 cfu/100 ml in saltwater or 61 cfu/100ml in freshwater.
- Collection Period: Sample data is available from 2002 to present.
